Hope this spot gets "fixed" fast. I've eaten here twice now, once for lunch and once for dinner. Nothing to add about the beer selection, it's as good as possible. The food on the other hand, is the reason I'm offering 3 stars, and no more. Had the signature burger the first time out, and it was delicious, and cooked to a perfect medium rare, which has become more difficult to find as most places and chefs seem to overcook them all the time. On my last stop, I tried the beef short rib. Unfortunately, this dish was a big miss. It was entirely too salty. And the sides were actually a joke. "Root vegetable mash" was not more than 2 Tablespoons of what I'm guessing was leftover mash of the day. The "truffled brussel sprouts" were burnt to a crisp, and practically unidentifiable. The truffle factor didn't come into play until I found one small blob of truffle oil sitting in the corner of my plate. I spent the rest of the evening and even the next morning drinking water nonstop, which I suppose I can thank the Chef with the salt shaker for. So, a mixed review for me on two outings.

Came to Kennett Square for my birthday weekend and found this pub down the street from the hotel that I stayed at. Such a great atmosphere; different environment from the usually DC city life, but in a good way. It's an overall cozy bar, service was great, food was pretty good. Fries kinda suck, but the mushroom soup made up for it. They have a unique selection of beer on tap. The one's that I tried were all really good. Also our bartender, Steve, was freaken awesome. Wish there were more bartenders like him in DC! Would most definitely come back here again.

Went out for a late dinner. Tried the stacked fries and fish tacos. Fries were good, fish tacos were bland and soggy. Service was great. I will be back but not for the tacos.

After living in the craft beer haven of Grand Rapids for eight years, I got tired of not having many good beer options when I came back to visit family in Kennett Square. Luckily, Two Stones opened around the same time. The pub had a casual, relaxed atmosphere that places an undeniable focus on good craft beer. I'm always pleasantly surprised to find great new beers I've never tried or heard of before, and the selection rotates constantly. I'll keep coming back again and again. The food is pretty decent for a pub. It's not the best food I've ever had, and if I was back in Grand Rapids l'd rate this place as a 4/5. But let's get real for a second: we're in Kennett Square, and this place *rules* in the context of being in Kennett Square. If you haven't been here, you're really missing out on something great.

Good beer and good food. After an afternoon at longwood gardens, Two Stones provided an enjoyable end to the day. I had a chocolate imperial stout which was very good and sampled there selection of cheese. I was not disappointed by either of them. The price tag was a bit more than expected but I had a good meal and cannot complain.

Beer selection can't be beat. The food is pricy, but it's much better than average pub food. Be ready for upcharges on any side (if you don't want chips). I would consider myself a regular. Funny shopping center location, but doesn't have the feel once you're inside.

Service was good, salads were nicely done. Loved the Parmesan fries. Sorry but won't patronize a site that serves food gras. Just my opinion.

Great Beer list for the beer connoisseur, superb food. Dirty chips /duck fish/pork tacos /cheese plate all need a try. Friendliness of staff across the board is a refreshing change from many other pubs in area.

Happened to stop in while out of town and wasn't disappointed. Great line up of beers (though they were out of cider - boo!) and interesting menu...not sure I would call it true "gastropub" fare but interesting combinations elevate it beyond "typical barfare" status. Very friendly and attentive staff, and the burger I had was not only at a good price point but extremely tasty. Nice spot I would certainly return to if my travels take me here again!

Great addition to the area! Traditional American fare with many cool twists. Beer menu has everything from old standbys to unique microbrews from all over. Perfect for a bar outing or family meal. Service was on point even on a busy Saturday with a brew fest just up the road. Bring you appetite but figure on taking home a box!

This place is great. I take clients here and for lunch and dinner. Lots of options. Great service, great menu.

I've come many times and it's usually been great. Not tonight, the crab cakes sucked, they were not cooked and full of mayo. I sent them back and they were still bad. The short ribs were also not warm, 2 out of 4 entrees were not prepared properly. Extremely disappointing.

We like Two Stones a lot, we are repeat customers. They have a fantastic selection of beers, and it doesn't feel like you're in a strip mall at all (how'd they do that?). The food is great, and so is the staff for the most part. We also enjoy the reasonable prices and the relaxed atmosphere. My only complaint is that it's always cold in there. Definitely try the fish tacos, the sweet potato fries, and any one of their unique booze infusions. Cya soon! :)

What an awesome time! Was in with the family and friends the other night and I can't say enough about the K S STAFF- our party was running late and our daughters wanted to shop next door and the place was jumping- throughout all the holiday rush we can't say enough about SASHA BROADWAY the asst gm- her name suits her just fine ms. Broadway treated us like stars! She gave us the star treatment and remained calm and cool throughout the entire night. Cudos to you SASHA! To the owners you probably already know this - she is a total asset to your organization! Salute! We will be back again! Griggs

I have to say the food is good and beer selection is great, but the prices have gotten out of control. Mac n cheese for 20.00for example. Not sure whobthey are catering to, but wow. As much as I like the place I have to take it off the list due to excessive costs of the food and beverages

First time in the restaurant. When you first enter you run smack into the bar and hostess stand. The atmosphere is great and fits the theme of the pub. Their beer list is impressive. The server will give you samples of any beer on tap. I had the Hudson Valley Burger. It was very good, but I find $16 for a burger to be pricy even if it has Foie Gras on it. Overall all it was a good experience. I would recommend coming here if you are a beer fan.

Found by accident when looking for a local pub near Longwood gardens. The craft beer selection in generous and deverse. The food was excellent.....cudos to the chief he certainly knows how to make a meal. I would say if you are in the area of Kennett square, pa please look up the two stones pub you will no be disappointed. We will certainly be back when in the area.

Location very convenient for visitors of Longwood Gardens. I recommend the grilled peach salad and the humus appetizer. Shannon, our waitress, was excellent. Wide assortment of beers and bourbons, including several high-end bourbons. Try the Basil Hayden bourbon for a sweeter taste; Booker's bourbon for a smoky taste.

Overall, this is a super find. We had a great server who did everything possible to ensure that we had the beer of our dreams. We did but the mushroom soup is what we will always remember. Fantastic is the only description!

Phenomenal craft brew selection in both draught, cans and bottles. Went on a Friday night. Place was packed but only had to wait 10 minutes for a table. The food was fantastic. We had the cheese plate ( you get to pick the cheeses from a list of 10-12 offered) and pub nachos, both of which rocked! This is a great place for a casual night out with friends. It's great to have a place like this in the Kennett area. Highly recommend. We will be back.

The 3rd pub from the Two Stones line in DE, this place has great bartenders that know their beers well. Explain what type of beer you're looking for, and they can make a suggestion that will put a smile on your face. The only missing star is that the mug club apparently can't be honored here due to PA totalitarianism (something about the law stating that you can't offer two sizes of alcohol for the same price), but they're working on some alternative offering, like a discount on food or something. Stay tuned. I'm so happy they have a nice bar that isn't too expensive not far from where I live.

  • Mark D.

Been here twice now. Great atmosphere and even better food. I'm in the minority as I don't go out of my way for microbrew type beers - but do occasionally. If they started offering more traditional beers along with their great assortment of others I'd absolutely give it a 5 star rating.

Had gone once to this location for beers and was a fan, took the wife and our six month old for dinner Saturday night. Was told there would be a 45 minute wait, we snagged seats at the bar and had the stroller between us. Bartenders were great - attentive and knowledgable. Great beer list - both draught and bottle. We had just finished our first beer when we were told the table was ready - couldn't have been more then ten minutes. Server was Sean and he was fantastic. Helpful with beer recommendations and quick to provide a taste. Funny and friendly, really a good dude. We started with the special mussels, the Harvest Mussels. Great root vegetables, awesome flavor. Wife had the mushroom soup (when in Kennett...) which was awesome and we split the homemade guacamole. Really flavorful, and when we ran short on the multicolored tortilla chips and still had guac they were quick to bring us more. I had the NY strip, a 12 oz steak perfectly prepared. Great mashed potatoes, veggies, mushroom demi. Yum. Wife had salmon, really enjoyed it. We split the chocolate bomb cake - not my first choice on desserts but she wanted it and it was fine. Peanut butter sauce inside, vanilla ice cream on top. Since it wasnt my one seed I cant be too down about it. Beers were great, service was great, food was great. Looking forward to going back. Ask for Sean, as well. Great place.

Beer selection is great as is service. Not the most heart healthy menu- carbs and salt galore. Turkey burger with "no bacon" and sweet potato fries were good but too salty. Good atmosphere, crowd and company make it worth while to go back.

Went here for the first time with my Daughters. The atmosphere is a pub, but very nice and with enough different areas that even with kids you felt separated enough from the bar area. The staff was very friendly and the service was top notch. We got the pork belly confit appetizer and it was good, except more fat that I like in that dish. It came with collard greens, which were very good. We all got the burgers and none of us were disappointed. The homemade chips were very good as well. I only have one complaint, which is the burger was a bit on the salty side. The menu includes a cheese platter with cheese from Di Bruno Brothers, which is one of my favorite local cheese shops, and the menu has enough variety without having a scary number of items on it. I am not a beer person, but the beer selection looks good and has a nice variety with plenty of microbrewery selection and a lot of local selections. We will definitely be back, and it is nice to have a gastropub in Kennett.

Can't say anything but good things about this place. They have a huge selection of craft beers, a good wine list and a full bar. They offer a huge assortment of cheeses as well. If you are looking for your run of the mill coors light you won't find it here but I think that is a good thing. They offer free small samples of beer so you can find the one you really like before ordering one of 2-3 sizes of beer. Their current beer list is on the menu as well as shown on a monitor in the front of the bar. Full descriptions of each beer as well along with alcohol content. Food is excellent, not greasy bar food. We tried the pretzel and the salmon sandwich. Both were huge, priced well and very good. Food took a few more minutes (seriously maybe 5 min) than it should have to get to us, but the chef came out personally and apologized. It is a very friendly environment our bartender Bianca was great. We visited on a Sunday afternoon. Quite a few people had children with them but the fact the bar is in the front and they have ample seating in back makes it family friendly. We would definitely go back.

I doubt this place will still be around in 18 months. It's a typical modern gastropub that is riding the wave of overpriced micro-brews and that fine. Great selection. It will also benefit from, literally, 0 competition in the immediate area. The problem is the place falls short on food. OVERPRICED FROZEN GARBAGE and that is putting it nicely. The only positive thing I can say about the food menu is that someone actually did a great job writing menu descriptions to make the food sound appealing but thats where we stop. As a knowledgeable customer, I actually find the food offensive. $16 for a frozen turkey patty? Par-baked Refrigerated wings in a bar setting? A similar theme for all the appetizers, which are all over $12. Why not just call your customers idiots or just tell them you are taking their money because you can as opposed to putting on that there is a fair barter here because it does not take long to see through the fascade. I've given the food 3 shots and have been less impressed each time. I won't even mention the entrees all approaching an unworthy $30 - the notion of fine dining is unspeakable. If a bar cannot produce good wings and burgers, I doubt you'll be able to draw a big enough beer crowd at those prices to make up the difference. Enjoy the initial wave, but it will wear off once folks catch on. You are targeting a younger crowd who does not mind taking a 10 minute drive to PJ Whelihans (craft beer and great wings) or Iron Hill (brewery and $9 burgers) or even Victory for a proper concept if they want craft beer. Unfortunately, most will go to cheap places i.e. Duffers instead. The older folks won't tolerate bad food with so many other options nearby and that's the eventual demise of this business. There is a lot wrong here and I expect the market to react accordingly.

My favorite place in town. Perfect trifecta of great beer, great food, and great people. The atmosphere is also perfect, not redneck but not snobby, not hipster but not Applebee's. The beer selections is great, always have like twenty things on tap, and the servers help you decide what to get; it's like a gastropub for beginners. No intimidation, just gourmet pub food and kick ass beer. I've never had a bad time at a Two Stones but Kennett Sq is my fav

I just got home from the New Years Eve Dinner and my 4th visit. Again and again the food is impressive and the beer is great. The ONLY place around that honors my request for "extra rare" meat. I told them I wanted my Filet Mignon cooked 90 seconds on each side and I believe they complied with it, or they were very close. This area (from Oxford to Kennett) needs more nice places like this. Craft beer and non-chain food. Three times we've been served by a woman in the back who genuinely seemed liked she cared that we had a good time and good food with good beer. I dont expect that. I expect good service, not personal interest. The other time we were served by a young man in glasses who made excellent recommendations too. There are only a few classy joints like this in the area and I will continue to visit them when their quality is this good. Other restaruants could benefit from their example

We stopped in on a Sat for a bite. We tried the quac with chips and soft pretzel. Quac was ok, but they missed the mark by using cheap chips that were stale. We were bumming, as they touted the quac as homemade, so we were shocked they cut corners by pairing with store bought stale chips. We also tried the pretzel - it was ok, but soaked in butter, which made it taste slimy - again we were bumming as this was another dish that sounded cool - just not done well. An odd flavor in a region known for soft pretzels. The other interesting thing - we both got indigestion after eating the dishes mentioned and we rarely have any type issues like that.

If your a beer fan you'll love it. Great selection of craft beers ( no bud, bud light, etc etc) has some basic bourbons and wines. Ive only had the nachos and wings and both were out of this world. I cannot wait to go back and try everything else. Its getting more and more crowded every time i go in which is great to see. But just expect to wait. Great atmosphere, service, a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. Will be back for more.

This was my first time at the Kennett square location and the food was great. I had the mushroom soup which was delicious and fish tacos which are one of the best I have ever eaten. Love this place!

First time there and we left satisfied. Food is pricey for the portion sizes but it was delivered hot and flavorful. Beer list is up to par with the micro/craft beer trends nowadays. Service was attentive and casual. The woman breast feeding at a near by table..... Well, next time bring a bottle or remove yourself. Will I return, sure. When... To many other places to explore!

Came here with a pretty substantial sized group of people on Sunday afternoon for a lunch/dinner. We had just been tubing, so we sat outside to be cognizent of the fact that we were kind of wet and gross, and air conditioning likely wouldn't feel great. That being said, we had a pretty amazing time. For a group of 8, our waitress kicked hiney with staying on top of our drinks, separating our courses, and splitting up the checks. I had some of the pub nachos and the truffle fries. Both were really really good. The nachos use wiz- just a heads up for those of you who aren't wiz fans. I know I usually am not, but this worked. The truffle fries had so much parmesan cheese overtop. They were really really delicious. For my entree I had fish tacos. I went for the 2 instead of the 3, and when they brought them out, I instantly regretted it. They were really delicious, and a good size, but I was hungry and I was left wanting more. That being said, the prices are reasonable, the service is solid, and the food is pretty damn good. Compared to the fare around these parts, Two Stones is a great stop!

  • Josh T.

Two Stones is one of my favorite new places to get food after work. They are open late and the bartenders and servers are charismatic and can hold a refreshing conversation with topics other than the generic food order interactions. The food is good. I have never had a bad experience! Great place to hang out.

  • Sara D.

Slow service, and the main lunch menu is nothing special. If you pop in on a Friday afternoon after 1, do not expect to be seated right away or see your server in the first 5 minutes. Had the turkey BLT and I kind of wish I didn't waste the calories. That being said, amazing fries and Brussel sprouts. Also a good beer selection. Definitely worth the calories! The parm truffle fries were amazing, and the Brussel sprouts truly changed my life. Will go back for beer and sides.

This place is spot on awesome. The short ribs are to die for, and the beer selection is top notch. The service is attentive and friendly. My husband and I are regulars there, and we never leave disappointed. A great Kennett spot!

Today is my second time here. The beer selection is fabulous. Today I tried their new 2SP "delco" beer and enjoyed it a lot. I got the fish tacos for a second time and was delighted. I also recommend the nachos from my last visit.

    (5)
  • Sarah D.

A hidden, shopping center gem! Staff is super-friendly and helpful, beer list is extensive and the food is excellent. The Brussels sprouts appetizer is a MUST here! Our last visit we devoured it so fast we ordered another one! We've had the cheese plate, burgers, caprese salad, pork, and brat plate, all of which were good.

    (5)
  • Dondi D.

Great double stack turkey burger. Make sure you are hungry since it is huge. The generous serving of bacon and avocado just makes it the best I've had. Paired it with the 2SP Bellcracker. Try it out!

Nachos are just a lump of chips. Portions are small. Waitstaff acts like they are doing customers a favor by waiting on them. Narrow restaurant. Go elsewhere.

Hands Down, the best bar and atmosphere in KSQ. The bar is great with warm atmosphere. Servers are very friendly and happy hour is second to none. $3 craft pints and $6 apps.

  • Hannah M.

The food is interesting. They have a different menu but the selection is pretty good. Fairly pricey for both food and beer, but they offer 8 oz beers, which is awesome for lunch stops. The atmosphere is great, however. They have good music playing and the interior is decorated nicely.

  • James H.

Food is generally good, but small portions and high prices. I enjoy the tacos, the nachos, and the meatloaf. Beer prices are a little ridiculous, though. And the pour sizes make no sense at all. You can get a lot more for the money at other places.

After a visit to Longwood Gardens, we Yelped something close...which turned out to be really close. This pub has a great atmosphere that belies it's location in strip of stores. The food was excellent! I had Carnitas Tacos that were incredible. Before dinner...the pretzel braid was amazing. The chips and guac were somewhat disappointing, but it didn't dampen the rest of the food. For dessert...the mint choc cheesecake...wow!! The service was top notch, too!

Great beer. Huge list that is all craft based. Flying fish. Lagunitas. Westmalle. Awesome. Great service. Walked right in ans sat right down. On opening night! Great food. Bahn Mi burger for me. Duck confit tacos. Truffle fries. Rock on. Thanks. We will be back.

The food was fabulous and the service was very good. When we arrived i asked to look at the menu to see the vegetaruan options before we sat down. The hostess was very helpful and gave us a quick rundown ofcthe menu. Our meal arrived in good time and everything was delicious but I have to give special kudos to: The best mushroom soup that I ever had!

Found Two Stones after an afternoon at Winterthur. Wasn't sure what to expect from a pub in a shop ping center, but this exceeded our expectations in a big way. Yummy food included the very spicy fish tacos, perfectly grilled strip steak, roasted beet salad, a burger on brioche bun and fries. Perfectly decadent chocolate peanut butter bombe. Oh, and enough beer to make everyone merry. Last but most certainly not least our waitperson Shannon who was the most patient and knowledgeable server I've seen in forever. Kudos!

My husband and I love this place. We have probably been 15+ times since it opened. All of our guests who we have taken here have loved it too. Wonderful selection of craft beers and a great menu. The nachos are to die for and I always like their taco options. It's definitely more of an upscale pub fate menu but the food is better quality. We've taken our 7 month old daughter there several times and always see other kids there too. Great place. I always look forward to going there. My only recommendation is less hoppy beers but I know a lot of people like them.

Dinner was very good. We got to sit outside which made the night. It's a little on the pricey side- and the portions didn't reflect the price, but overall a very good experience.

We Yelpers know how it goes: You're visiting some town gallivanting around and you get hungry. The car is already started so within the next mile you need to find a place with a good beer selection for your S.O. but also healthy options and a reasonable noise decibel for your mom, so you whip out your information device to Search Nearby for highly-rated restaurants on Yelp. Depending on the town, the pickins can be slim, and sometimes you end up in some horrid place with sticky booths where you can't help but wonder if all 9 4-star reviews were written by the owner's pets and you are embarrassed for letting your friends down with your inferior research skills. But once in a while, maybe right after Thanksgiving when you think you couldn't possibly be more thankful, the Yelp gods smile upon you and lead you to the perfect place where you think, I truly am the Yelping queen among my loved ones, I am a dinner hero, my parents have every reason to be proud of me. This is what happened to me on Black Friday after a freezing but lovely winter trip to Longwood Gardens. I Yelped, I chose, we conquered. Who knew a pub in a strip mall could serve up such delicious food? My short rib entree was heavenly. My fiance loved his duck and my mom enjoyed her fish tacos (though she said the sauce on them was mega spicy). They have an impressive wine and beer selection and a good variety of liquor. This is definitely not your typical bar food pub. Not cheap but not overpriced considering the quality. Crowded and noisy at the bar in the front but relaxed and comfy in the back. Our waitress was knowledgeable and friendly. This was a great find. So thanks, Yelp(ers). I love you.

Stopped in here for a business lunch. Very nondescript shopping center and from the front it looks like a little place. Going in it felt open and had a cool modern look. The turkey burger I had was excellent, service was spot on. I'll have to come back and update this once I have a dinner there.

I was very disappointed to learn, at the end of what was otherwise a very nice evening that the wine we were drinking was to $10 a glass! The couple sitting next to us at the bar was equally shocked to learn their draft beers were $5 apiece. Be cautious at this place which is relatively new to the neighborhood. You can get blindsided by a big bill.

Absolutely no stars here. I've dined with Two Stones Kennett three times in all. The first two trips were alright. My third was actually disgusting. The staff is lacking, the food is a complete joke and the pub has itself confused with a club! haha Two Stones' new popularity will be short lived, as anything new to Kennett Sq. creates a buzz amongst the townies. The staff is rude, I don't know how else to say it. I wasn't greeted by the hostesses, when I asked them where to pick up my take out they pointed to the bar. The bar was shrouded with people who had too much to drink, an older couple sharing a seat and music you would hear at a bar on Main Street of Newark Delaware (University of Delaware). The food was awful. I had the whole trout special, and wow was it special- stuffed with spinach and came with risotto. They left every bone in it, and when I called to say that it was difficult to eat because I had a pile of bones sitting next to me basically had to pull it apart, they consulted the chef who said that's just how they make it. How tasty mangled trout and a mouth full of bones. Yum!! The food is typically salty. Last night was inedible. The short ribs were incredibly salty, but maybe they do that to get customers to drink more. My fried brussel sprouts were turned into a pile of salty brown (no green to be seen) mulch. Overall, for $106.00 this was angering. When I called to say how disappointed I was I was greeted with more rude behavior. I'll pass on this Two Stones and maybe stick to the one in Delaware since it has yet to leave a sour taste in my mouth.

New to the Kennett Square area in late 2013. This is the third 2SP with two additional locations in Northern New Castle County, DE - just across the PA/DE state line. 2SP takes their food and craft beers very seriously. Everything from appetizers, to salads, to entrees are excellent. The chefs mix it up with some very tasty daily lunch and dinner specials. Here are few of my lunch favorites - fish tacos, the house burger, pulled pork sandwich, and beef brisket cheesesteak sandwich. The mushroom soup is really outstanding! Same for the dinner entrees. Filet mignon, BBQ ribs, crab cakes, and pork tenderloin all rock. The pork belly, dirty chips, and special fries appetizers are all to die for. All this great food and a rotating stock of mouthwatering craft beers on tap. You can expect excellent service from the staff at the bar and in the dining area. Seating in the dining area is a bit tight, but everyone is very friendly. Who could ask for anything more! Stop in for a pint, meal and some good cheer!
